Sharlendipity in Review...

Can you believe it's 2014? I'm still trying to figure out where December went, let alone 2013! It's been quite a while since I've been able to post and share with you all and it has been such a busy couple of months. One of my favorite things about the holidays, in addition to spending time with family and friends, is the time that I get to refocus, regroup, and prioritize things that are important. That also includes the things I enjoy...crafting, blogging, cooking...the list continues.

Although I haven't shared with you all in some time,  I've had the opportunity to collaborate and network with other bloggers and fashion based companies, which has been wonderful. Sometimes you think people aren't interested in what you may be blogging about or interested in what you're offering. So when people contact me from all concerns of the world I feel so humbled and blessed that what I'm doing has been of benefit to somebody else.

So you can say my work with regards to Sharlendipity has been a bit behind the scenes. I wanted to share some things that I've been doing:

Black Girl Long Hair (BGLH) Features

I was contacted by Meosha of BGLH who was beyond wonderful to work with. We not only got a chance to do an interview about vintage style and hair but also about being a natural bride (see links below). It was a great opportunity to share not only about style but also about hair and product choices. Check out both interviews below. BGLH is a great resource for hair care tips and style inspiration.

MY TRND

I was excited to serve as a guest blogger on mytrnd.com, a lookbook for Professional Fashion Buyers. The aim of this website is to "help Brands find buyers and help buyers find brands" and they are official partners to Copenhagen Fashion Week. They were great to work with and I look forward to working with them again. You can check out my quick review on the Autumn Winter 2013 Celine collection.

As I reflect on what 2013 has been for Sharlendipity, I'm grateful for all my supporters and those who encouraged me to pursue my 'hidden passions.' I experienced tremendous growth as I launched this website and I'm looking forward to what 2014 will bring. I'm excited to share new things with you all in upcoming weeks! As always, thanks for visiting and check back for new vintage inspirations and finds. I wish you all a blessed New Year!
